This time, let's get away from it all. Music is one way a lot of us use to escape reality and go into our own world, I know I do. So on that note, what is your absolute favorite soundtrack from any Sonic game?
I would have to go with the Crisis City soundtrack from Sonic 06, either that or the Chaos Angel soundtrack from Sonic Advance 3. SA3's Chaos Angel soundtrack has the perfect fit for a final zone soundtrack, and it just sounds awesome. Crisis City is a rocking soundtrack from what is widely known as the worst Sonic game ever.

I'm stuck honestly between 3 sonudtracks honestly (Sonic advance 3, Unleashed, and Adventure 1). But if i had to pick specific songs, Skyscraper Scamper (Unleashed), Ocean base act 2 (Advance 3) , and first part of Twinkle park for sonic.

Nah I'm joking. I love the entire soundtrack from Sonic Colors Wii. With Sweet Mountain 2 and Planet Wisp 3 toping my favorites

Everything in S06 besides Crisis City. I frankly find that to be the Casino Park of S06 songs. It's so overplayed that I don't enjoy the main version of the song (The one that plays first in Sonic's first section). I do enjoy Crisis City ~ Tornado and Crisis City ~ Whirlwind, but not the other two versions. Every other song from S06 I like.

Im pretty sure everyone agrees thats night palace song from sonic and the secret rings was the best song in any sonic game, ever.

Overall, Unleashed has my favorite OST. So many amazing songs (and so often ruined by the Werehog battle theme >:c)
Picking 1 specific song is REALLY difficult though.
For Unleashed, can I say that Falk's Endless Possibility (Rockestrate My World Arrangement) is my favourite, even though it's not officially in the game? If not, I'll go with the normal version. Special shoutout to every Holoska/Cool Edge song though <3
My childhood favorite would be either City Escape or Live and Learn.
As for my favourite overall... I think I might have to give it to With Me, the final boss music of Sonic and the Black Knight. Didn't care much for the game but oh my god the music is good.

I have a few. In SA2B, I like the music of Green Forest (come on, the island's gonna blow up!!), Prison Lane (high energy, even though the stage itself is kind of a pushover), and Lost Colony (it's probably too boring for others, but draws me in). In SAdva3, I like Chaos Angel Act 1 and the end credit music. Probably that end credit music is my favorite -- very welcome after a stressful and climactic boss fight! Plenty of other good music from those games too, but those are the ones that seem to stand out most to me.
I haven't actually played SADX, but from what I've watched, I really like the music for the first part of Twinkle Park for Sonic too. That happens to be a remix of Panic Puppet from Sonic 3D Blast, which I only happen to know because I've watched lots of speedruns on SDA in the past. Haven't really heard much music from games made in the past eight years though. I bet I'm missing out.

Thought the topic meant overall soundtrack, in which case I would vote Sonic Adventure 2, and it is not close. But if we're talking individual stage music I would say The Supernatural, For True Story, Highway in the Sky, A Ghost's Pumpkin Soup and Space Trip Steps, all from Sonic Adventure 2. I also like Mechanical Resonance/Crank The Heat Up!!!, Run Through The Speed Highway and Red Hot Skull from Sonic Adventure, Egg Fleet, Bullet Station and Mystic Mansion from Sonic Heroes and GUN Fortress, The ARK and Central City from Shadow the Hedgehog.
I almost feel like we need to divide the question into a "pre-2000" and "post-2000" answer, as I find myself not mentioning any of the Genesis games even though I liked their music a lot.

My favourite is hands down Aquarium Park (Act-1) from Sonic Colors (Wii). Probably my all time favourite video game track. I love the Colors soundtrack in general, but Aquarium Park definitely takes the cake.

I have a few, Planet Wisp 1 from colours and Act 4 (both have the same song), that piano at the start is beautiful. I also like His World from 06, Super Sonic Racing from Sonic R, Unleashed Endless Possibility, Reach for the Stars from Colours, and of course Sonic Boom from Sonic CD :)
Oh and then there's Diamond Dust from 3D blast
And then I also really love Your My Hero from the Sonic 3D Blast credits, uh picking a favourite is impossible :P

The 06 soundtrack is really good,as well as the SA2 soundtrack. But,this had to go to Colors,my favorite being Aquarium Park 1.

I like all of the Sonic game soundtracks I believe, but if I had to pick a few to name as my favorites, I would go with Sonic Adventure, Sonic Adventure 2, and Sonic 2 as my favorites. I would choose Sonic Adventure 2 as my overall favorite soundtrack as well. I say this due to how much I like each level’s song in each game, and how the theme songs for the games are as well.
If I had to pick an individual level’s song as my favorite, I would say Emerald Coast is my favorite Sonic song for a stage ever. For theme songs, Eggman’s theme from SA2B is awesome, as is a bunch of the other theme songs. I basically like all Sonic music, as most people do. I have heard some people say that no matter how bad a Sonic game may be, you can always count on the music being great. Other mentions for best individual level songs are City Escape, Final Chase, Green Hill Zone, Hot Crater Act 1, and Seaside Hill, to name a few. Too many songs to name; I would name all of them if I could. :P

I have mad love for many songs in the series, but Open your heart is still my favorite to this day.

SADX - It doesn't matter (Tony Harnell) has been stuck with me since I first beat Sonic's story-(which at the time, took me a long time to do so....weeks?) When FINALLY beating Egg Viper, and actually hearing the song all the way through instead of just snippets......I just couldn't stop listening to it - even began learning lyrics, so yeah, brings back good memories and the love of that song hasn't left :D

A tie between Unleashed Day, Classic, and Modern Rooftop Run (though I'm slightly biased towards Modern), and Jungle Joyride Day. Rooftop Run's upbeat blend of guitar, violins, piano, and drums is pure ear sex. Jungle Joyride Day is a fantastic take on traditional Thai music. Using traditional instruments like glongs, pis, and khluis, the composer creates a techno jungle beat.
Coincidently, I love the visual aesthetics of both stages and how they play.
