In my opinion:

1. This should be a completely separate game on the site, considering it's a remake that came out 18 years after the original.
2. Don't bother separating spindash.

I have a feeling that not very many people will share it though. <_<

Believe it or not, you can record movie files without using save states or slowdown. I know, it's an amazing concept.

And as already mentioned, he's banned from submissions. Why do you care?

I am going to use the doppelganger charts for no skills because fuck connecting my 360 to xbox live to use the online rankings, and this way my times for skills (acts) and no skills (doppelgangers) are saved in separate places. Stupid? I THINK NOT.
Man, you're such a whiny little shit. :( It's sad.

Personally I think there should be ring charts for the bosses without infinite sources... Though I guess that would only be Perfect Chaos and Death Egg Robot (I think?) so whatever. >_>

Also I feel it worth pointing out that you don't have lives in Challenges so you can die/retart 5478357092 times should you so wish.
You have infinite lives in Online Mode too. I agree with calling the charts "No Skills"; putting them under the Doppelganger challenge is stupid because no one (sane) is going to actually going to use the Doppelganger challenge for them. >_>

And yeah, have charts for both regular and Hard bosses.

I completely agree with RPG, we should only have one set of charts because otherwise everyone would have to do each level twice if they want to compete.

Though while we're at it, we'd better get rid of the Tails/Knuckles charts in S2/S3&K.

Yeah, Ring Time sucks. :( I just see absolutely no reason why it and Safety Net should be banned.

You could use the same logic for banning Speed Up in TAs. >_>

If you think about it, it's somewhat like the SADX rule, starting a level w/rings(carried over from Adventure Mode) isn't allowed in RA in the charts,

No, it really isn't. 1. You're getting the rings in an entirely different level, and 2. That gives an infinite source.

It would piss me off, too, if I just started the game AND want to compete in it.

Okay, then. Let's just ban all skills. Actually, better yet, let's only have a chart for Green Hill Classic, as that's the only thing you can play when you first start the game.

Yes, I'm sure that casual players care so much about having the AI partner avoid damage. >_>

S3&K

<OI, I oughtta.... meh, gg. My point about this theme isn't that casual players know how to do the challenge per se, but rather that they find it easier than an expert will. But I digress. -SDM>

Well, that was... Interesting. And annoying. Don't think I'll be doing any more S3 RAs unless forced to.

Used S3&K
Initials:

One death on L3 because I suck. >_> Oh well.

Edit: Er... Didn't see the edit with the initials thing before. What's the limit?

Edit2: werster said it was 3, which makes no sense because it was 5 when these were originally around. :( I guess I'll go with my actual initials then ().

<Impressive route plan! I especially liked your innovation in Labyrinth 3. -SDM>

All "regular" bonuses (quick-steps, drifting, etc.) cap at 100,000 and all wisp bonuses cap at 400,000.

25
No, considering it'd likely have an advantage on stages that don't have Wisps.

(...which would be 2 stages at most, but still)

Competition Central / Sonic Colors time limits/Time Bonus (spoilers)
« on: November 21, 2010, 06:32:17 pm »
Doesn't really seem to be worth its own thread, but I couldn't think of a good place to post it, so...

All main stages and Game Land stages have a time limit of 2:30, 4:50, 6:27, or 8:09. Each type of boss has its own time limit; the Tropical Resort Ferris Wheel style has a 3:20 time limit, the Sweet Mountain style has a 6:05 time limit, the Starlight Carnival style has a 5:33 limit, and the final boss has an 8:02 limit.

For the time bonus, it varies depending on the time limit, but it always starts at X amount and decreases by Y once every second:

Quote
Stages

Time Limit   Starting Amount   Decrease
2:30                  150000       1000
4:50                  320000       1100
6:27                  465000       1200
8:09                  685000       1400

Bosses

Time Limit   Starting Amount   Decrease
3:20                 1000000       5000
6:05                  950000       2600
5:33                  800000       2400
8:02                 4100000       8500

Here's a list of the time limit on each stage:

7-2      6:27
7-3      4:50

...And yeah, they're seriously weird numbers like "6:27" and "465000". I have no idea why.

Hopefully someone finds this useful. It wouldn't be the first time I spent a bunch of time on something and no one cared... >_>

27
But rings carry over in between stages in the Egg Shuttle, meaning you can easily finish under the time limit and get the massive bonus on every stage after TR4.

28
Unless I'm missing something, wouldn't E.G.G. Shuttle score devolve into "Spend 15+ hours getting 9999 rings on TR4 then don't get hit until you max the score"? I can't see it being that great to track...

I can't stand playing Sonic 4, it's such a terrible game. Playing such an atrocity is as uninteresting as possible, so we shouldn't track charts for it.
