I call BS on this stat:

http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_drift/times/green_hill/green

Explanation/Reasoning: There isn't much room for improvement on Full Drift times, let alone ones that have been very optimized (if not completely). Therefore, I am calling into question your lap 1 time of 22 seconds flat. I am aware that you are able to record Drift videos, and want proof of a lap 1 time getting as low as 22.00 seconds.

Competition Central / Sonic Generations Speed Glitch Execution Dispute
« on: August 06, 2012, 02:32:36 pm »
The speed glitch that is used in Sonic Generations (and Sonic Unleashed) is performed when you tilt your analog very slightly to the point where Sonic's slowest walking speed is achieved, you have enough speed (usually gained through a boost or speed pad), and are in the air.

With that out of the way, here is the dispute. There is the possibility of having a controller with enough wear on the analog stick so that the speed glitch can be executed without having to place and hold the analog stick into position yourself. I need to know if this is TSC legal or not?

In this same regard, a rubber band can be used to keep the analog stick in place for easy execution as well. As with the previous scenario, is that TSC legal or not?

Competition Central / I'm retiring from TSC...
« on: November 04, 2011, 09:19:56 pm »
But I'm not a rapper. In all seriousness, I have thought about it at times. I mean, for those of you who have been here since I first started out at TSC, you'll definitely notice the massive decrease in the rate at which I submit new stats. Contrary to popular belief, it is not my workload from college. The truth is I've lost a lot of motivation to compete in a ton of games. I've gotten the most records award, most championships, most leaderships, I have a large margin between me and second place as far as sitewide goes, I'm a prominent member, etc. I feel like I've done so much on this site, definitely more than I thought I would when I first came here. Hell, competition wasn't even on my mind before F-Man told me about this place. TSC offered me the replayability that I often yearned for in my Sonic gaming aside from glitch hunting. TSC is pretty much my gateway to the world of the internets too, well...primarily IRC but still...this site and its peeps are great (FOR THE MOST PART!). Anyway, I would retire if not for one thing...

NO ONE RETIRES FROM TSC, THEY JUST TAKE BREAKS!

Although that's not completely true, it's true for the most part. Though to be very honest, after I get 1000 sitewide points and 1000 records, retirement doesn't sound like such a bad idea. Of course I'll still be in the chatroom too help out and troll people as usual, so I'll still be here. Enjoy! ^_^ Wait, wrong site for that...

Rules Revisions / About Sonic Unleashed PS3/360 night scores...
« on: June 12, 2009, 01:45:19 pm »
I believe that all night scores for Sonic Unleashed PS3/360 should be removed from the charts, if not that at least any stage which has a "Big Mother" or a "Healing Wizard" in the level.  This is because with combo bonuses, one can obtain infinitely many points.  I have made a video showing an example of how combo bonuses can be used to get an ass load of points, and the process can be repeated again by dropping your combo once it reaches the max (9999). http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elK7onwe2hE

With that said, let the discussion begin!

I have reason to believe that either you used pal on your robotnik winter 1 time for Sonic Triple Trouble, or that you simply BSed.  If that is not the case, I would like some proof either showing how you got your time, or explaining how you got your time.  I have been unable to get anything below 18, and my route appears to be as optimal as it can get.  However, I was able to get 16 using the same route in pal mode.  That is why I am calling you out, and I want some proof that this time is actually achievable without pal mode.

I would like an explanation for your SA2B - Boss - Rouge: Hero stat.

http://www.soniccenter.org/rankings/sonic_adventure_2_b/bosses/rouge/hero

That time is impossible to achieve, unless maybe you carried over a hit from a previous life or you somehow landed a hit at the very beginning(when you're supposed to be unable to move). If that's not the case, then I'd still like an explanation for how that time is possible.

Leaderboard Disputes / About my Shadow boss times...
« on: July 13, 2008, 02:23:30 pm »
Sorry I've been away, college summer program is to blame(2 weeks to go, I'm just here for today and probably next Sunday).  Anyway, there was a topic about the suspicion of some of my times, since the -centiseconds- were the same for some bosses.  To be honest, I never really noticed that until the topic was brought up, but nevertheless my times are legit.  If you don't believe me, I could easily make a video and go to all the bosses on the select screen so you could see the times for them, since I do believe all of the times have been properly saved.  Although I probably won't do that until either next Sunday or after the program is over(since I have better things to do), I could still show it nevertheless.  Also, as I've said many times, I don't bs and never will, and though there will be non-believers, I try my best to show that I am a 100% fair competitor.  I'd rather be 2nd best playing fair than 1st place playing unfairly.

Wikkity! / I won't be here from June 25th - July 25th :(
« on: June 24, 2008, 10:42:54 pm »
For anyone who's interested, I won't be here from June 25th - July 25th because I'll be in college.  It's a summer program that I have to attend due to the scholarship(full ride yay!!!!!!!!!!) I have.  Although the downside is that I'll be losing 4 weeks of my summer, at least I'll get a preview of what college life is like. :|

Congrats on taking the Sonic Riders championship, but I'm a bit curious of your skills.  I would like it if you could post a video or two of your Sonic Riders skills so that I can confirm the validity of you stats.  Specifically, I'd like to see a run of Dark Desert 3 Lap Time Attack.  I would ask for Night Chase too, but I know that one can be a pain in the butt.

Competition Central / itt I need a break from TSC...
« on: May 30, 2008, 12:33:04 am »
Yes, you read correctly, I think -I- need a break from TSC.  There are reasons both outside of TSC and about TSC why I need this break.  The reasons outside of TSC I won't go into, it's a bit personal >_>.  However, the main thing about TSC for why I need a break is the legitimacy of a certain player(smizzla if for some reason you had no idea).  He's done so much in so little time with -little to no- proof.  I mean, the guy has a 0p championship in Sonic 1 without a lick of proof for crying out loud, and no one calls him out on it?  And even if smizzla is bs'ing, and you guys rely on mike to make sure he isn't, how would I know mike wouldn't side with smizzla whether he's right or wrong?  My main issue now is trust, I don't have a lot of it anymore.  So yes, I'm taking a break, maybe even from chat, for quite some time until I get my head straight and my thoughts in order.

17
After the incident with shadowfan, I'm just not so trusting and easy going as before.  I'm calling out smizzla for a few reasons.  If he's legit, then it's good to have some competition, if not, I want the appropriate action to be taken.  In addition to my not being so trusting anymore, I recently found out that smizzla was banned 4 years ago for bs'ing stats.  I've only seen one video of him in action(not really a good reason to call someone out, but I'd like to see some Sonic 1 stuff...).  There have been times, though not many, in chat where I've seen GS alert him to "fix" a stat, meaning that it could have been a typo, or you simply put in a fake stat and got unlucky.  Maybe I'm on to something here, or maybe this is just a waste of time, but either way, I've been holding this in, and recent events have led me to let this out.  Now if you say you're not bs'ing, I'll take your word for it(though I'll always have an uneasiness in me about this).  That's all...

Leaderboard Disputes / I call BS on shadowfan's Sonic Battle stats...
« on: January 30, 2008, 12:06:43 pm »
...it's not that I doubt doing that well is possible, but I believe that shadowfan is one of OmegaDJ's brothers.  After seeing in another topic that one of his brothers was BSing in another game (I think Shadow The Hedgehog), I'm feeling a bit uneasy about this.  I would just like some sort of assurance that he's not BSing, that's all.>_>

Information Kiosk / Are Sonic Heroes ps2 users at a disadvantage?
« on: August 28, 2007, 07:21:33 pm »
I recently saw    Pokemonmaster888's Team two video for Sonic Heroes, and on the ps2, I'm not allowed to move immediately after the screen focuses back on me.  Is this something that is maybe pc exclusive?(Since I know pc games usually load faster)

Information Kiosk / Question regarding record keeping.
« on: May 17, 2007, 03:48:01 pm »
Are you allowed to use emulators and roms for competition if you don't use save states, slow downs, etc., or are they disallowed completely, because I checked the TSC constitution and FAQ but found nothing about it.

26
Although I'm probably far from it, I was wondering how you become a prominent member and who decides that you are one?  And also, who are the main members who run this site, cause this is truly an amazing site.(lovin' the chaos angel layout)?^_^

27
If you collect a speed shoe as Sonic or Shadow,  charge your light speed attack, and then keep it charged for the remainder of the speed shoe session, you'll receive a top speed increase(a drastic one at that) and can also "stack" this by doing the procedure again.  I was thinking that maybe this should be added to the list of rules.(unless that falls under the category of collecting two speed shoes in under 15 seconds of each other)
