TMMC News / Fate of the MegaMan Center
« on: June 24, 2007, 03:03:18 pm »
I'm wondering if anyone at all here is still interseted in the MegaMan Center. It certainly did worse than I anticipated. If not for the lack of members, but the lack of interest in the members that fought for it. Should we coincede, or are people still willing to compete and find new members?

EDIT: Heh, it seems that nothing here functions anymore anyway. It's already been eradicated. So I guess this post doesn't matter at all.

The Definition of Reasonable Doubt

I can't stress enough how much "power" a person has in their submissions. Just about anything can be submitted in the database and will come up in the New Stats Feed page, now does that mean flood with bs stats? No. Why? Because we will KNOW you are BSing and delete the stat, force you to prove it (only under serious circumstances) and/or ban you from competition. Submissions are a privilege and may be revoked at anytime with good reason.

Now, this ties into what it means to have reasonable doubt. It is not and I repeat, it is not "omg, it's too hard for me and it's impossible to get this time, because I win and if I don't win, it's obviously wrong!!~1" If you are going to use that accusation, just stop right now, and press the backspace twice, matter in fact, press Alt+F4. :/ Please provide reason in your accusation. If you feel uncomfortable sharing why something is seemingly impossible (for what ever reason, ie; I don't like giving strats) then drop a PM to an Administrator/ Moderator and we will decide the outcome. Please leave all MegaMan matters, with MegaMan Center Admins/ Moderators.

To sum up:

1. "OMG, I can't get the time, so it's impossible" IS NOT A REASONABLE DOUBT CLAIM.
2. Cheating may, and probably will get your submissions privilege revoked.
3. Administrators' decisions are final, further discussions may occur however.
4. Please respect all members, don't be an asshole to someone, if you don't want someone to be an asshole to you.

Thank you and enjoy! :D

TMMC News / Welcome to the MegaMan Center~
« on: April 15, 2007, 03:47:32 pm »
The long awaited MegaMan Center has arived (ok, long awaited by SJ, magnum and I...). A few games are up, one or more from each series. At the moment, there is contemplation about MegaMan X5-6, Xtreme series, the Zero series and the addition of the Level "Game Completion". Concerns are as follows:

MegaMan X5 and X6: Should there be a split between X and Zero? Should we mandate all Mavericks defeated, allow any number defeated, or have respective levels for the two for the Level "Game Completion"? Should Normal and Xtreme difficulty modes be split?

MegaMan Xtreme series: The Xtreme series, at the moment, has a screwy compeitition. In order to submit a time, you'd have to have a file ready and record the current time on the save file. Then, play a stage and complete it. Save again and record your new time. Subtracting the two would result in your time for that stage. This is very time consuming, annoying and unreliable as your recording is very error prone (you aren't shown centi/milli-seconds). We are still contemplating on what to do about this. MegaMan Xtreme 2 Boss Attack is up though.

MegaMan Zero series: The problems with the MegaMan Zero series is the abuse of Cyber Elves, "Weapon Training" and Ultimate Mode. Cyber Elves are at the moment banned from competition as they prove as an extreme advantage. Weapon Training is in the same boat. Theoretically, you are allowed to train your weapons after you clear the Opening Stage, before going on to the next mission. One would be able to train the weapon all the way up to the max level, having a clear advantage over any other competitor who just went onto the next mission without training. Just think about it, having a fully leveled Saber against the Aztec Falcon, complete pwnage. Should this be a legit tactic? As for Ultimate Mode, IMO, it's useless as it's just a Very Easy Mode. It's the same as Normal Mode, but you have all Sub Tanks, Max HPs, and IIRC, fully upgraded Weapons. Is there really a use?

Game Completion: This level is under speculation since it's a one time thing, especially with the MegaMan Battle Network series, which can take hours and hours to clear. I've grown to be a little bit against due to the burden of requiring to erase our games and do this trial. Any suggestions?

Please adhere to concerns and refrain from submitting to levels/divisions that are under speculation. Anything else is fair game!

Information Kiosk / How is the "top" player determined?
« on: March 06, 2006, 09:08:38 pm »
I was wondering how the "top" player on a chart with multiple ties is determined. When I look at charts like Egg Quarters Mission 1 Rings, Green Hill 1 Times/Rings, Final Zone, etc... and other charts that have multiple ties. I was wondering how the top player of the chart is determined. I've thought it was the first player to achieve the record, but that's not the case. Then I thought it was piled up by who last submitted that record, but that's not the case. Then I thought it was by member numbers, but I don't think that's the case. Can someone shed some light on this? It's been bugging me for a while.

Competition Central / PsyBorg, enough of you harrasment.
« on: January 12, 2006, 09:36:52 pm »
Yo, PsyBorg, you really need to chill. Your disrespect to some of the members at TSC needs to end. Now you are starting to mouth off at me, wth. For people who haven't learned of this (because PsyBorg has PMed me and I've been banned from the chat :X) PsyBorg has accused me of cheating. He claims that my Black Comet-Dark time is bull shit, why? because I improved my score the next day and when I submitted my time for BC-Dark, I didn't beat his score. BS excuse?, I think so, or it could be just plainly the fact that he can't seem to beat it.. This isn't a first from PsyBorg may I point out. He's even accused Shadow Jacky and yoshifan, two very well respected and excellent players here at TSC of cheating all because he couldn't attain a time of their elitist level. I'm going to post the most recent PM from PsyBorg to me:

Quote
The "I'M FEELING BAD FUCK YOU" excuse is the oldest trick in the book. Being a bastard to me isn't going to prove anything; and not explaining your strats really feels TSC style, doesn't it? [/sarcasm]

I feel bad for you, actually. I have a feeling now that you're cheating, and you are defending it just to make yourself look good. If you don't explain or actually at least part-way prove your legitimacy on Black Comet Dark, it proves something about you, doesn't it?

PsyBorg, you seriously, need to get your priorities straight, and start respecting others, especially when they are regulars at TSC and know a little bit more than you do. Your reputation has been shot in my eyes, but that's just me. How dare you DEMAND strats from me. I don't have to do anything you tell me to do, who do you think you are? Just because you may have gotten the game before me, or as you claim, you are an excellent player, doesn't mean that everytime that you can't obtain is considered bull shit. If that were true, than mike, SJ, yoshi, SM, RPG, NintenDan, SS101, Andy, Sprint and the list goes on are cheaters, no? Go ahead, go play some Sonic 2, and come back after you can't match Metropolis and accuse mike of cheating, or perhaps Sonic Advance and come back and accuse Ninty of cheating. Your arrogence has blinded you and your immunity to realize there are people that know more than you and can do certain tasks better than you. Man up, and learn some respect for you've lost mine, you probably don't care though do you? If anyone wishes to comment on this please do.

Competition Central / sonicam's offical retirement
« on: January 12, 2006, 05:11:53 pm »
No, I'm not trying to continue yet another trend, but I just wanted to say that I think it's time for me to cease competing at TSC. As you may know, I've said that I would quit numerous times but yet I haven't. Well, now I can safely say that this is the real deal. It's time for me to roll up the controller, er, well, turn the off my controller (WaveBird... :P) and put my Sonic games back in it's cases and hang em on the shelf. It's been fun, frustrating, enjoyable, annoying, irritating, difficult and a nice time competeting with you all but the frustration has ultimately gotten to me. I just can't stand it anymore. First it was SADX, I pwned in that and then I inevitably got pwned down by RPG, all that work was for naught. All that time and effort was for naught, that was the first straw. Ok, well, I'm no elitist so I got over it (and hated SADX in the process. :D) so I moved on to other games. Heroes and Shadow. Heroes, while many think is the worst Sonic game ever (or worse 3D Sonic), I rather enjoyed playing it competitively. Trying to beat out magnum and taking on Kev, was rather enjoyable and frustrating, but more enjoyable since that's a fun game to play, but that's me. Shadow, well, this was the last straw for me. I enjoyed the game in the beginning and when I didn't TA it, but, as Shadow Jacky warned me about, the fun diminishes after you TA it and damn, he was indeed correct. Shadow has given me the most frustration out of all my time here at TSC (though I still like it more that SADX. :o) and today after trying to get back GUN-Dark, I've almost lost my mind. The silliness it just unbelieveable and I just can't tollerate it anymore. It's almost like "ok sonicam, no winning for you, SJ must have this record, not you so you'll get pwned and annoyed and pwned and annoyed....", so yeah, that's that. It's been real and I just wanted to speak about my career at TSC.

mike: Wow, it was annoying as hell and fun as hell when battling you in SADX. I've cursed you out (not to your face at least. :P) and prasied you plentiful, it's been real.

RPG: Damn you for beating me in SADX, but you got pwned for submitting crap Scores and Rings. :P

magnum: Thanks for the competition in Heroes, you and Kev actually got me to enjoy Heroes, a non-easy task indeed. :o

Rolk: SPA will indeed be yours... :( You bastard you... >.> lawl

SS: Damn, ya beat my PH5 time. :( I tried getting it back but no avail, nutting but "omg i wanna destroy my SA2B disk NOW!!!!!" and "Damn you SS!!!!111" >.>

SJ: lawl, you indeed warned me, I should have listened, but it was still fun right? Keep pwning man.

Ninty: Thanx for them SADX strats that I never put to good use, lawl. It's been fun.

I'm actually tired of making shoutouts... D: but yeah, I might come back and submit a few records here and there, only if it's a record, if not then no submission, but I definately won't be competeting as much as I have, most definately not. I hope I'll be able to overcome this addiction, but nuttin has been worth this much frustration... :(

-soniham is out. It's been real pplz. Later. (Although you haven't seen the last of me... >.>)

Competition Central / Where's the Ring Division in Shadow? :o
« on: December 27, 2005, 01:26:25 am »
There's no Ring Division for Shadow. :( Reason better not be cuz it's not recorded, cuz if we'd go by recording, all submissions for the Genesis and GameGear games are void. D:

Competition Central / Dark, Pure Dark, Hero, Pure Hero, wth?
« on: December 26, 2005, 02:22:14 pm »
K, I went though another story and I faced off with Sonic and Diablon. I noticed there is more than one. Pure Dark, Dark and Pure Hero. I don't know how to differentiate from the three and I'll probably have the same problem with the other bosses. :( How do you differentiate? I don't remember seeing a "Pure Dark, Dark, etc..." label. :( Thanx.

Beef / Compact/Complete View problem
« on: December 23, 2005, 06:40:22 pm »
I've been using Compact View for a long time now, but I want to change to Complete View because it show's Total-Total Time and your Overall pts for the said category. I can't do that, it's set to Compact View, even when I'm not signed in, Compact View is set. When I change to Complete View in the User Settings, it still stays at Compact View. Is this a bug or am I not doing something?

Competition Central / SADX time question
« on: December 16, 2005, 04:52:52 pm »
I know this has been brought up before but I forgot the result. I want to know if times acheived in Adventure Mode are as legit as times acheived in Trial Mode. I wanted to know this because the 4 lives given in Trial Mode isn't enough and makes it more and more frustrating to play. I get a good run going and I run out of lives, very ****** annoying. I can easily get a lot of lives in Adventure Mode and then try to take on a level with 99+ lives and I can TA to my hearts content. If this is disallowed for whatever reason, I'll be putting my SADX back in it's case again.

General Sonic / Sonic Battle ROM
« on: December 13, 2005, 10:10:12 pm »
I've been looking for a Sonic Battle ROM since I've broken my Sonic Battle cart a few months back, around the time that TSC got reinstated so I've been unable to restore my post downtime records. I wanted to get a Sonic Battle ROM to play the game again and to try to reclaim my scores that were lost. If anyone has a SB ROM, please let me know and if you could send it to me, I'd be much obliged, or if you know where to get one that's functional, the same. I've checked many sites and nothing. I've even checked SonicStuff and the ROMs seem to be defective as the WinRAR files become corrupt when trying to download them. So, anyone know of where to get an SB ROM? Thanx.

Leaderboard Disputes / Sonikun
« on: December 08, 2005, 09:21:05 pm »
It's probably a simple mistake, but your score of 147200 pts is seemingly impossible to acheive. You probably added an extra zero, if so, please change it. :o

Wikkity! / Omg, I meet Rolken and flyby today. :o
« on: November 28, 2005, 05:26:24 pm »
Yup, we actually meet up today. Not just me, Rolken and flyby, but also goalie too. :o Yeah, it was pretty cool meeting him and flyby. We didn't really get to talk much since I had to get back to school, but we did have some pizza and I got to play Rolk's Sonic Rush, lol. It's pretty fun, now I wanna DS. D:

Wikkity! / Website constuction help
« on: August 15, 2005, 01:26:13 pm »
I've been wanting to construct a site for my MegaMan Hard Mode Project but I haven't started building it yet. I was wondering if there are any good free website providers. Yes I know the word "free" should signify that it will be crappy, but still, I want to make an appealing site and fill it with information. I have yet to find some good providers. If anyone knows of any providers that are free, please post in this topic. Also, if there really truly aren't any (Ninty already told me that they all suck, but I need more opinions), then what's a good cheap site provider? Thanx.

Leaderboard Disputes / I doubt anyone is going to care but...
« on: July 22, 2005, 02:52:47 pm »
I've been playing some S1GG and trying to get the Ring records and I've gone though the levels up to Jungle Zone 2 and I just can't see how it's possible to aquire maggot's ring scores. It's impossible to collect 100+ Rings in both levels in Bridge Zone, let alone 128 and 126 respectively. Also, 98 Rings in Green Hill Zone 2? I've collected 84 I think and that's without the +10 Ring bonus at the end of stage sign (and I think you only get that when your Rings are multiples of 10, I'm not too sure. I just wanted to point this out. If anyone can look though the stages and perhaps there are hidden rings, but I haven't found them and I don't see how those ring scores are possible.

sonicam thinks no one is going to care at all. :(

Information Kiosk / Special Stage Division for Sonic Heroes
« on: December 11, 2004, 01:50:34 pm »
How about a Special Stage Division for Sonic Heroes? There could be Time Attack(Time remaining), Score Attack and Highest Links for the Special Stage Division. It would include every level's Bonus and Emerald Challenges. Only problem is that you can't select the Special Stage whenever you want (but a Super Hard Mode Division was mentioned before with the same issue, but everyone didn't think it was much of a problem but me :P). Also, you are forced to remember your Time Remaining and Highest Link since it isn't recorded in the results. Well, Time Remaining is recorded, but it passes too damn fast, but it's possible to record it. So, Special Stage Division, yay or nay?

Gaming and Grazing / Yay, i got to try out the Nintendo DS today!
« on: November 18, 2004, 09:39:12 pm »
I went to GameStop with my friend today and they had 2 DS's with Metriod Prime: Hunters. This was the demo that Nintendo DS comes with and they let us try it out. In the demo, there was a practice mode which was single player and a Deathmatch mode which was multiplayer mode. The Practice mode had 3 options, you could practice normal fighting, movement and the Morph Ball. I only tryed out the Normal Fighting Training Room, all it really was, was you fight Normal Green Metriods(looks like you no longer need missles to kill them, I only used the normal Power Beam and they died in 3 shots). Also, we got to try out the Multiplayer Mode. The options for Multiplayer mode were Create a game and Join in a game. We both choose join in a game and we were able to play. Also, you can select a stage to play on, but the stages are very small so it didn't really make much difference. The gameplay is basically a normal Deathmatch game, but fun. Also, changes from other Metriod games is that the Power Beam NEEDS AMMO. It isn't infinite anymore. Another thing is that the controls are alittle awkward. There are a few Control Configuations to choose from(5 in total). Two were the use of the D-Pad and the Y/X/A/B buttons. One config was that the D-Pad moves you forward, backward and to strife left and right, and the Y/X/A/B buttons turned you around left/right and to look up and down. Another config reverses the roles of the D-Pad and Y/X/A/B buttons. L button shoots and i can't remember what R did. Also, to go into the Morphing Ball, you have to use the stylus and touch the button on the bottom screen. Press L to drop bombs. The game itself is pretty good, the graphics are nice but the controls are alittle weird. Did anyone else get to try the DS yet or does anyone have any questions on the gameplay?

EDIT: Just remembered, R button makes Samus jump, how could i forget, lol

Gaming and Grazing / Anyone know of any links to video game music?
« on: November 17, 2004, 06:01:23 pm »
I've been looking for a link(s) to find some video game music to download like The Sonic Stadium has with Sonic/Sega music. I have been looking for music from Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Falsebound Kingdom, Metriod Prime, Bomberman 64: The Second Attack, MegaMan Network Transmission, MegaMan Legends, MegaMan Legends 2, Paper Mario, Pokemon Colosseum, Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy II, MegaMan X5, and MegaMan Zero 2. Anyone know of any links that might have these games? Thanx guys.

Beef / I can't access my profile
« on: November 07, 2004, 09:38:02 pm »
I am unable to see my profile, i keep getting this error message: "Got error 28 from table handler". Also, my table for my SA2:B records are all messed up, the records are right, but it shows like 2 Total times, 6 Total times for Mission 5, well, it's just messed up. Anyone know what going on?

Competition Central / Hey, where did it go?
« on: October 31, 2004, 03:50:28 pm »
I was time attacking Gamma's Emerald Coast stage when i achieved a time of 3:25:90, which was a new record for me, but it didn't show up on the best clear time box at Trail mode. What's the reason for this? Is it ok that i submit it?

Leaderboard Disputes / Siavash Taizari's new SA:DX stats
« on: October 18, 2004, 09:00:15 pm »
His record of E-101 MK II is 4:53:11, this is impossible, you only get 3:00:00 to start with and you can't destroy any enemies to increase your time. This time cannot be done. Can you explain yourself Siavash Taizari?

Competition Central / Ring Attack for Sonic Chaos
« on: October 10, 2004, 02:08:22 am »
I was wonding how Ring Attack is done with Sonic Chaos. Since every 100 Rings sends you to the Special Stage. So does the rings in the Special Stage allowed to be collected? If so, what are the rules for Sonic Chaos?

Gaming and Grazing / What game has the best music(exculding Sonic)?
« on: October 07, 2004, 08:52:59 pm »
There are alot of games with excellent music, music where you just love to listen to all the time. My favorite games with great music are:

Golden Sun/Golden Sun: The Lost Age(thank God this game has a Sound Test, the music is unbelieveable, you have to listen to it, to understand)
Chrono Trigger(this sound track is excellent, i love the boss themes, Zeal theme, the final dungeon, forgot the name, were all good)
Metriod Prime(Phendrana Drifts just pwned)
MegaMan Network Transmission(the game sucked, but the music was outstanding)
MegaMan 2(great classic songs, i love them all)
MegaMan 3(all of them, just all of them)
MegaMan 7(JunkMan, TurboMan and Wily's stages were good)
MegaMan X2(Boss themes, Agile's stage, all great)
MegaMan X5(Zero's stages had great music)
BomberMan 64: The Second Attack(such an underrated game, but it was awesome, with outstanding music, Aquanet and Thantos was great)
Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Falsebound Kingdom(the field and battle themes are great, excellent game too)
Pokemon Colosseum(yeah, the game isn't that great and Pokemon is losing it's edge, but this game has such sweet music, music you wouldn't believe for a Pokemon game, kinda makes me want to replay it again despite i lost my data...)

So what games do you love that has just excellent music? You can also include favorite sound tracks from the game that you like. They could also make good Sonic Radio ideas. Just don't include any Sonic games.

Beef / Errors with the New Submissions pages
« on: October 07, 2004, 07:48:27 pm »
When i wish to see the new stats from the New Stats button, i am unable to go to any previous pages, besides Page 1. Also when i want to get to the recent stats for a particular game using Ranking>and then clicking on the date. It give me the grissly error message. Can someone fix it please?

Edit: Actually there are alot of errors besides the New Stats errors. The Ranking charts are messed up and the links don't send you were you want to go. So i think you're aware this is happening, Rolko.

Competition Central / Question about Sonic Drift 1/2 competion
« on: September 26, 2004, 06:39:32 pm »
I was wondering if it matters what character you use for competeing in Sonic Drift 1/2.  Since everyone has a different special ability and different driving skills, does it matter what character you use? In Sonic Drift, Sonic gains a speed boost, Tails gets a Spring Jump, Eggman gets an attack(useless in Free Run) and Amy, well, i don't know what those heart things do, does anyone know? Also, Amy drifts worse than the other three, and she gets better acceleration than the other 3. So does it matter, what character to use in the competition? All of my SD times(which are poor) were done by Sonic btw. Also to set records, must you use Free Run, or can you use Chaos Grand Prix? I haven't really got into SD2, but do the characters/modes matter when competing in SD2? Thanx in advance.

Competition Central / Sonic = Sonic *?
« on: September 26, 2004, 06:25:10 pm »
I made a similar topic about if Sonic = Metal Sonic in Sonic Adventure DX(btw, the answer is yes) before since i surpassed some records done by Sonic with Metal Sonic and i was wondering if i can use records i got for Team Sonic's Extra Missions as normal Team Sonic mission records. Since they aren't catergorized in the competion because they are very similar(or identical, don't really know), i just wanted to know if i can use them as normal Team Sonic records since i surpassed some records on the Extra Missions. Hope that wasn't too confusing ^_^; Thanx for your help.

Competition Central / What do you just love to compete in?
« on: September 11, 2004, 09:33:16 am »
My favorite is Score Attack. Score Attacking is pretty fun for just about any game that has it. It takes alot of skill for it, you need to see where you can do tricks, where to destroy a wave of enemies and to try your best to finish the level quickly(while worrying about the other stuff i just mentioned). And need i forget about the Ring Bonus? To me, Score Attack is a combination of just about all the divisions at TSC(with the exception of Boss Attack and Freestyle). Another favorite is Boss Attack, but Score Attacks gets my vote. :) As you can see by my records, my Time Attacking is pretty poor, so i don't like it too much. :(

Information Kiosk / Um, quick question about my account
« on: September 09, 2004, 11:49:26 am »
Ok, very soon i am gonna have to reformat my computer and convert it from Windows 98 to Windows XP, since reformatting will delete all my files, will it delete my account for TSC? or is it like GameFAQs and it is in TSC's system, therefore, it will be safe? Thanx for your help.

Competition Central / Does Metal Sonic = Sonic?
« on: September 01, 2004, 04:13:28 pm »
I have just unlocked Metal Sonic and i have a few Metal Sonic face marks/stamps. In some of the stages i have cleared with Metal Sonic,i have done better with him, than the original Sonic. So i was wondering, can you submit records from Metal Sonic, as normal Sonic records, or must it be from the original Sonic the Hedgehog? I might have worded it difficult, if you don't understand it, than sorry. Thanx.
