General Sonic / A Sonic Game Dream.
« on: January 12, 2014, 08:53:23 am »
I had a CRAZY dream last night.  It involved a new Sonic game.

So I was playing, getting used to the controls and everything... fast foward, where Sonic and Tails are heading to a fortress.  I'm guessing it's the final zone, but the dream was hazy.

Sonic was feeling depressed for some reason.  What I can tell from the start of the story, Sonic had another big fight with Eggman, went Super, and trashed Baldy McNosehair's toys.  Tails was also along for the ride.  They, however, fell for yet another elaborate trap and were sent to another planet.

Fast foward again, where Sonic is homesick.  Tails tries to cheer him up, but Sonic doesn't budge.

Then, out of nowhere, Alvin and Brittany- yes, I said it-of the, well you know, show up.  They cheer up Sonic, which somehow works.  He thanks them and runs into the fortress. (Guess what the setting is.):)

Into the fortress, where I can tell, I basically mastered the game.  Sonic was running full speed, collecting rings, boosting, running on and climbing up walls (Homage to Sonic Lost World), everything you want.  The goal ring was in sight, and 5 seconds later, I'm there.

And that's what I remember of the dream.

General Sonic / New Sonic Game on xbox one, PS4, and WIIU.
« on: January 11, 2014, 01:55:19 pm »
There is a rumor going on that a new Sonic game is coming to the next-gen systems and WII U.

There is a video on Youtube that says so.

I don't know what it is, but expect some awesome graphics on the next-gen systems.

And no, it's not Sonic 4, Episode 3.  That would be obvious.

What would you expect out of the new game?

Me?  I expect some intense competition on this new game on this site.  The controls would be spot on, the frame rate would be smooth, and I MOST expect playing as Sonic and some other characters, like Shadow, Tails, etc.

Competition Central / Cream and Marine's merry days...
« on: January 07, 2014, 09:22:56 am »
You said on a topic similar to this that the comic would be done tomorrow in 2008.

EDIT: I meant the story, not the comic.

It's been... oh, I don't know...

SIX YEARS!

When's the last part of the story coming?!

Wikkity! / The Matrix ranks.
« on: January 06, 2014, 08:39:27 pm »
There has been something on my mind lately.  It involves the admin rankings.

The admin ranks I know:

Architect(There are a few, Parax being one of them.), Desinger(I saw a topic whose starter has that title), Beast(Thorn), and Owner(SonicAD).

EDIT: Just found out who the desinger is, it's Rolken.

As we all know, the title "If I had a (Ban) Hammer" are the users who are future Matrix members.

Are there any other ranks that involve the Matrix?

Wikkity! / Review of TSC.
« on: December 18, 2013, 01:11:27 pm »
Here we go, my review of TSC.  Be advised, my review is for newbies only.  If you're an admin, or anyone who has been here for a while, just pretend you haven't heard of this site.

TSC (The Sonic Center) is an online competition site based on various Sonic games- and by various, I mean almost all of them- ranging from Sonic 1 to Sonic Lost World.

The way it mostly works is that Sonic fans who love competition are able to submit stats and videos showing how they got their times, rings, scores, etc.

You can't have a competition site without rules, and it's no exception here.  They have this BS-detector that goes off when you submit an pretty fast time.  The admins will ask for proof of the stat that set it off, and you have a set time to show proof.  Fail, and you're banned from submissions.  If, however, you're able to show proof, you're off the hook.  I did a test of that, and the end result was a ban. :(

There are other things to do than just submit stats, though.  There are a variety of topics you can chat with other members.  Here's the thing, be careful what you type, if not you'll be banned.  Yes, the ban is not limited to submissions.  Also, know this, topics that have not been posted for at least 30 days will have the following message.  "Warning: This topic has not been posted in for at least 30 days.  Remember, Thread Necromancy is a sin."  PLEASE be careful how you type.

The Race Nights are a favorite for gamers who love to race.  You have a variety of official and nonofficial races to attend if you're able, the latter being hacks and fan games.  If you plan on racing, you can vote on which Sonic game you want to race and set the goals for that game.  Right now, the races are held for 4 pm EST.

Forgot to mention, there are boards for these topics.  You can post any topic under the boards if you just ask permission from SonicAD, of if he's not available, Thorn, Zeupar, or Umbreon.  Contact them via PM- personal message-, or in the chat.  Unapproved topics are subject to deletion.
EDIT(again): Whoops.  This rule only applies to the Leaderboard Disputes board.  My bad.

And that's about it.  There are three lists that I use for my reviews:

Recommended: You seriously need to be here a lot.
OK: It's not good, but it's not bad, either.
Ban: You'd better get this site out of you're mind!

Out of those three, this site basically deserves the recommended list.

And with that, I'm done here.

EDIT: yes, you can post.  I'm not locking it just yet.

Wikkity! / Re: The new way things are going down in LD
« on: December 18, 2013, 08:24:48 am »
OK.  Since no one really gives a shit about what I say, I may as well give a short summary of what I do.

1) As part of my daily life, it's my job to find out about the top-trending games around the world.  The games that capture the most attention deserves a topic.

2) Online competition sites:  This means I normally test the admins with actions I take, followed by reactions from the admins.  Yes, I admit it, I lied to test what you guys would do, and in the end I got banned.  Which means you guys are faithful of what you do, you passed the test.

3) Games:  You cannot be THE ultimate gamer without Let's Plays, and I am no exception.

This is only half of what I do, and I just only hit my stride.

EDIT:  No, I don't boast about me being better than everybody.  That's for n00bs.  And when I say testing, I usually go by these questions:

1) How does- so and so site- work? (The rules count)

And...

2) What would happen if I- in this case- submit very fast times?

So far, you guys have been true to the promise of being a damn good site, and that's why I said you guys passed the test.  You've earned my respect.
