Just when you thought it would never happen!

This is, assuming it even gets underway, going to be a test tournament (Mike wants to run a Daft Tourny) to see the rough amount of interest available.

Due to the not particularly hueg amount of interest we (being mike and me) expect, we has a format that'll cater to this, which I'll post once we have some sign ups.

Also yeah I wont fuck this up like the pokemon one 'cause a) I wont throw in nonsensical rules and b) mikes helping >_>

Edit: To the uninformed, these sets are legal in Extended currently: Invasion, Planeshift, Apocalypse, Odyssey, Torment, Judgment, Onslaught, Legions, Scourge, Mirrodin, Darksteel, Fifth Dawn, Champions of Kamigawa, Betrayers of Kamigawa, Saviors of Kamigawa, Ravnica: City of Guilds, Guildpact, Dissension, Coldsnap, Time Spiral, Planar Chaos, Future Sight, Lorwyn, 7th Edition, 8th Edition, 9th Edition, and 10th Edition. You may use cards from older sets provided they were reprinted in one of the above - however, if you do, Magic WorkStation will not recognise it as an Extended card. Use the newest version of all cards.

Decks must contain 60 cards minimum. If you have a sideboard (used to swap cards in and out of your deck between (CORRECTION) games in a match in case you have a really bad matchup), it must contain EXACTLY fifteen (15) cards. Your deck must return to its original form when you begin a new match. (MWS has a button for this I do believe.)

B& cards in Extended are: AEther Vial (Darksteel), Disciple of the Vault (Mirrodin), Entomb (Odyssey), and Skullclamp (Darksteel). You can't use B& cards in your decks.

I'm in. I just need to go through the other extended sets to find more awesome cards for my cleric deck.

Also a note on the format which RPG is describing. Those of you who have actually played in Magic tourneys will be familiar with this, so I'm looking to you (particularly SBW) for some clarifications.

The first round is determined randomly. You play the first round and the results are collected. After this, your second round opponents are determined; you play your nearest opponent, but you can't have played them already.

The table has a win-loss ratio and three tiebreaker conditions. SBW informs me that they are the following: Opponents' Match Win % -> Player Match Win % -> Player Game Win %

SBW: Actually typically DCI tournaments go by points, 3 for a match win and 1 for a match draw. >_> PS Those tiebreakers are in order of most important -> least important

Spinny the deck Ill be using is listed as "Extended" by MWS when I load it up to play with it, so am I right to assume its legal? >_>

It has none of the b& cards you listed

Check your sets just to make sure, but if it's like my MWS it defaults to extended-legal sets.

Apparently MWS was calling my deck Extended legal when it wasnt, I've now fixed it at the expense of some of my awesome cards :(

And if you're thinking of handicapping yourself, think about instead posting the deck you're gonna use.

Also I have to reinstall Magic Workstation since my hard drive broke, remember?. Even though I had it on the good hard drive, I still have to reinstall it anyway because the registry data is bad or something and it won't work. (Interesting concept.) So yea.. I'll do that sometime.

Shock.

Round 1: I was up 20-18 when the game crapped out. I had three 2/2s to nothing of his and he had multiple consecutive land draws, so conceded this game. Good man, that RPG.

Round 2: A token creator from RPG made things interesting, but I turned the game with an Infest. Ended up winning quite easily again, 15-0 or so.

I mulligan to 5. Long story short my combo goes off. Stefan gets a creature down but he can't stop 30 3/3's. (You'll see if/when you face me, or you can ask Stefan. Egg probably has an idea anyways.)

I mulligan to 5 again. I get 2 creatures down, which means I can't set off my combo and Stefan... played lots of dudes. That got BIGGER! </local game store injoke. say 'bigger' very high pitched like>

Oh and when I could've blocked with 2 creatures he happened to draw Pacifism. >_>

I actually keep my opening hand (which is rare with the deck I'm playing), and just start ridiculously. The only thing that prevents me from winning sooner is the lack of a Flame-Kin Zealot (now savvy players know what I'm playing) in my graveyard, which I finally get with 5 cards left (after my draw). Had he been in my bottom 5, I'd have been boned because he had 5 guys and I was at low life. But I managed to go off just in time.

I'm a little fuzzy on this but I think I know what you're playing. Especially if it's a standard deck.

Anyway I installed MWS.

Unfortunately that means that for the time being it's no longer registered. (I bought it 2-3 years ago) I won't be able to find my registration code for a while so I guess I won't be able to show off an avatar or anything. >_>

Well I'm all set. Unless I have to use a standard deck against SBW. Because I don't know the cards from Lorwyn. But this is an extended tourney so I will just stick with an extended deck, no shenanigans.

Dammit, thanks to my brother's shenanigans, he uninstalled MWS, everything but the pics (which is one hell of a stupid idea), to install Fly For Fun i.e. Flyff i.e. Failure.

Ironically, the installer couldn't even initialize. So now, I've reinstalled MWS, with no customs or Lorwyns with it. So now I have to repack the lorwyns, think up some new custom decks, then I can play.
